About the fabric collection:
The magic of fabric goes beyond woven threads.
It’s a labor of love, from the first color choice and design sketch to the final stitch that finishes
a handmade project.
The “Of Old And New” collection contains a carefully curated color palette in warm, rich colors like
‘rust’, ‘forest green’, ‘winter blue’ and ‘cranberry red’ and finds the perfect balance by combining
delicate florals with geometrical prints.
EQP fabrics are screen printed on a premium quality patchwork cotton.
These fabrics are created to stand the test of time, making sure that your projects will remain gorgeous
for many years to come.
And a note from the designer Ellen – Ever since I was a little girl, designing has been my passion.
I started quilting in 1995, at the age of 10, when I saw my mother working on her first sampler quilt at a beginners course. The fabrics, the patterns, … I just loved everything about it! She let me help her cutting and pinning the fabrics. One thing lead to another and that same year I designed and finished my first quilt.
Ten years later, when I was studying history at the University of Antwerp, I started my own little company, called Ellie’s Quiltplace, and sold the patterns of my designs. The initial idea was to get some extra income (as you know, life as a student is not easy), but over the years it has turned into a well known pattern company. Let’s say a hobby gone wild :o)
In 2015 we (my husband Philippe and I) came up with the ‘crazy’ idea of creating our own fabric collections. At this moment, our collections are available in Europe, the USA and Australia via a network of distributors. And the next collections are on their way!
I’m happy to share our creative journey with you and I hope that you enjoy the world of EQP!

Washing Instructions: Machine Wash Cold/Tumble Dry Low
All fabrics are cut from our stock in our studio in Dorset UK.
PRICING & CUTS:
HALF METRES & MULTIPLES THEREOF – We sell our fabric by the Half Metre, which equates to a piece of fabric measuring 50cm high by 110cm – 114cm wide (manufacturers selvidge to selvidge). If you require more than half a metre then please increase the quantity accordingly, for instance a quantity of 2 will give you 1 metre of fabric, 3 will give you a metre and a half and so on. Multiple quantities will be cut as one continuous length.
FAT QUARTERS – When it comes to quilting or sewing small items we all love a fat quarter. Unfortunately for us as a business we had to find a middle ground so that we could offer the best price available for the fabric, so we have chosen to sell in multiples of half metres instead of fat quarters. If you would like a fat quarter then we can still cut these but there is a minimum purchase of two from the either the same fabric range or same price range.
If you require more than two fat quarters from the same range/price range of fabric then do let us know and we can set up a custom order and calculate the cost of this for you.
We are also happy to provide you with a sample of the fabric at a cost of £2.00, this sample will be approximately 5″ square (12.7cm)

All items are shipped from our studio in Dorset, United Kingdom
Overseas Shipping will be dealt with at the checkout
All items are shipped via the Royal Mail and are tracked to their destination
Some postage delays are inevitable and are outside of our control, these include delays at Christmas, during postal strikes and customs and excise if posting to an address outside of the UK.
