Folk & Lore by Stephanie Sliwinski
One of my favorite parts of our homeschool journey was reading aloud to our boys.
We read all sorts of literature together, and while they all sparked wonderful
conversation, one that sticks out to me is Aesop’s Fables.With lessons to be learned, we would
quickly know what role a fox, crow, hare, owl, and more might play in these short
stories. We enjoyed how folklore and fables humanized animals to teach us a lesson.
So, from times past (and with a modern bend), Folk & Lore takes a lighthearted
approach to the art of traditions and stories passed down.
You’ll find scandi- and folk-art inspired florals, a nod to block printing, and you’ll
walk in a forest of animal friends. You’ll toss some leaves in the air while still
enjoying some of the classics. Both the warm and cool palettes in this collection
play off each other nicely, and I hope you love creating with Folk & Lore!
