DESCRIPTION
Functional yet stylish, this sturdy duffle bag carries everything you need for a weekend trip — and easily fits in the overhead bin or under the forward seat.
The full-zippered top allows easy access to all your gear and a variety of pockets inside and out keep everything organized and close at hand.
A comfortable adjustable carrying strap with pad and quick-grab handles make it convenient for all sorts of travel.
The finished bag measures 10″H x 16″W x 7″D.
NOTE TO CUSTOMERS:
Get Out of Town 2.1 is an update of our popular Get Out of Town, Get Out of Town 2.0, and Get Out of Town II patterns which were released in 2014, 2017, and 2021 respectively.
The new 2.1 version doesn’t change the design of the bag, but we’ve changed a number of dimensions and rearranged the steps to make the pattern easier to read and follow.
We also filmed an Add-on Video to help you with the more unique or challenging aspects of the pattern.
Since the Get Out of Town 2.1 pattern includes a coupon to get the Add-On Video at no charge, we would recommend that you purchase the new and improved version of the pattern.

A list of what you will need to complete the project.
Cut out labels for you to easily identify your fabric pieces.
If applicable a code for an add on video to assist you with the more complex aspects of your bag making.
NOT INCLUDED – Pattern Pieces! you will not find any pattern pieces within the pack. Instead of pattern pieces you will be expected to cut the squares and rectangles of fabric yourself and these are then shaped as required as you follow the pattern.
The easiest and most accurate way to cut out the fabric pieces is to use a rotary cutter, cutting mat and quilting ruler. You will also need a line on your cutting mat which shows a 45 degree angle for cutting some of the bag bindings.
The pattern calls for ByAnnies Soft and Stable which is a lightweight foam which gives body to the bag. This material is available in the UK, but can be quite expensive. A good alternative to this is Vlieseline Sew In Foam which is available within this shop.
