Small Laptop/Netbook/Tablet Carrier
Soft & Stable/Interfacing and Hardware substitution recommendations listed below the pattern description
DESCRIPTION
Make your own custom computer carrier using your favorite fabrics and colors.
Clear and complete instructions take you step-by-step through the process of quilting, cutting, marking and sewing. Directions are included for two sizes/styles of netbook bags:
Netbook Case – 8½” H x 11”W x 2”D
The 8½” H x 11”W x 2”D Netbook Case has a zippered closure and an outside zippered pocket. Padded handles make it easy to carry yet compact enough to fit into a backpack or other bag.
The easy-to-insert zipper opens wide for easy access to the inside of the case or purse.
A full zippered mesh pocket on the inside separates and protects papers, cords, and more.
Netbook Carrier – 9½”H x 11½”W x 2½”D
The Netbook Carrier has a zippered closure and two styles of handles, including a detachable, adjustable strap (with pad) for comfortable over-the-shoulder or cross-body carrying.
Two outside pockets (one zippered) and one zippered inside pocket provide convenient and safe storage for extra gear.
A special back strap enables the carrier to be safely hooked over the handles of a rolling suitcase.
TIP: If you have a regular-sized laptop or want a larger carrier, we suggest our Laptop Computer Carriers II pattern. For widescreen laptop and an even larger case, be sure to check out our Executive Carryalls II pattern.

A note about the supplies needed –
Soft & Stable – Most ByAnnie patterns have a requirement for a foam product called Soft and Stable. Soft & Stable can be expensive to buy in the UK, so we would recommend a substitution which is readily available, of high quality and of which we stock called Vlieseline StyleVil Foam – when you compare the products side by side there is very little difference and using the Vlieseline Stylevil Foam will make a comparible item.
Fusible Interfacing – Another product which is regularly required in ByAnnie bag making is fusible woven cotton interfacing (SUP179), again this product is quite expensive here in the UK so we would recommend substituting this for our woven cotton interlining (https://www.etsy.com/your/shops/me/listing-editor/edit/855198629/about) which is much cheaper product but gives an excellent finish.
Bag Hardware, Elastic, Polypro and Zippers – We recommend that you use the ByAnnie bag hardware, Zippers, Elastic, Mesh, Polypro and Vinyl. The ByAnnie hardware is of an excellent quality and is perfect for any ByAnnie sewing projects. The Zips have extra wide sides which can also be used to face raw edges on your project and match the colour of the mesh and elastic for a great finish. All ByAnnie hardware is available in our shop.
