By Annies Sewing Pattern – Contain Yourself, soft sided storage bins / storage boxes
Pattern no. PBA274 Printed Pattern
DESCRIPTION
Make these soft-sided fabric bins in your favorite fabrics and colors to organize and store all sorts of treasures.
The pattern includes complete instructions for containers in three fun sizes with optional labels and handles. Each size is designed to coordinate well with standard sized cube shelves (i.e. IKEA KALLAX type), allowing you to not only become more organized, but to also decorate your room.
Once you’ve mastered the technique, design your own bins of any size* using the handy formulas and tips included in the pattern. You’ll love having custom containers for all your storage needs!
*NOTE: Depending on the size of bin that you design, additional fabric, Soft and Stable®, interfacing, and vinyl may be required. See pattern for details.
Full instructions for bins in these sizes are included in pattern:
Small: 2¾”H x 4½”W x 3½”D
Medium: 6”H x 6”W x 10½”D
Large: 11¼”H x 11½”W x 11½”D
IMPORTANT NOTE about what is included in the ByAnnie Packet/Pattern:
Concise instructions with check boxes for General Quilting, Binding, Vinyl, Mesh and Fold Over Elastic.
A list of what you will need to complete the project.
Cut out labels for you to easily identify your fabric pieces.
If applicable a code for an add on video to assist you with the more complex aspects of your bag making.
NOT INCLUDED – Pattern Pieces! you will not find any pattern pieces within the pack. Instead of pattern pieces you will be expected to cut the squares and rectangles of fabric yourself and these are then shaped as required as you follow the pattern.
The easiest and most accurate way to cut out the fabric pieces is to use a rotary cutter, cutting mat and quilting ruler. You will also need a line on your cutting mat which shows a 45 degree angle for cutting some of the bag bindings.
The pattern calls for ByAnnies Soft and Stable which is a lightweight foam which gives body to the bag. This material is available in the UK, but can be quite expensive. A good alternative to this is Vlieseline Sew In Foam which is available within this shop.
